K-12 Forums
We are a collective of Western New York-based teachers, administrators, and counseling staff who collaboratively engage in the study and implementation of mindfulness-based practices in order to support and promote social-emotional learning in our schools, classrooms, and profession.
CATALYST SPARK: We welcome all educators who currently have a mindfulness practice or want to establish a practice AND those seeking to expand the use of practices in their school or classroom.
COLLECTIVE ENERGY: We learn best when we learn together!
Meetings are held bi-monthly at a local school (see below for meeting dates and locations).
The topics of inquiry at meetings are fluid, experience-based, and supportive of growing mindfulness practices and practitioners.
CAPACITY IMPLEMENTATION: Sharing knowledge to lead change in our various school environments.
By holding this space for school-based practitioners to meet and to grow in awareness-based practices we, individually and collectively, expand our reach to a wider community supporting the fidelity and effectiveness of mindfulness practices in area schools.
Get involved!
MEETINGS:
The next Mindfulness & K-12 Forum: June 8th, 11:00 - 1:00pm. 350 Bisgrove Hall, Niagara University

The Mindfulness Alliance K-12 sector is extending and expanding on NU's Mindfulness Conversations by providing teachers the opportunity to consider how to infuse 2 practices into their classrooms: Community Circles and The Peace Corner.
- Community Circles bring mindfulness into the classroom in an efficient and easy manner, inviting learning and calm into the classroom.
- The Peace Corner (or basket) provides students a venue where they can sustain and self-monitor their own practice of mindfulness and self-regulation while at school.
$20 includes lunch. Register below. We look forward to seeing you!
